ModelVault complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice using the form at /dmca or by mail to the designated agent below.
Designated agent
What a valid notice must include
Per 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your notice must contain:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate it (a direct URL is best).
- Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you (address, phone, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate, and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

Counter-notification
If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the designated agent containing the elements required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3): your signature, identification of the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, your contact information, and consent to jurisdiction.
Repeat infringer policy
Accounts that repeatedly infringe will be terminated under our repeat-infringer policy. Three substantiated takedowns within twelve months will result in termination of the account and permanent removal of associated content.
Misrepresentations
Knowingly material misrepresentations in a DMCA notice may subject you to liability for damages, including costs and attorney's fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
